Who would have thought a mega rich porn star and a Jewish billionaire casino magnate would both endorse Mitt Romney? Sheldon Adelson is chairman and chief executive officer of the Las Vegas Sands Corporation, the parent company of Venetian Macao Limited which operates The Venetian Resort Hotel Casino and the Sands Expo and Convention Center. Needless to say, he is super, mega, filthy rich. Continue reading

The Romney’s Dancing Horse Hopes
Just when you think there is not one more factoid, or tidbit that clearly illustrates exactly which presidential hopeful is completely out of touch with the average taxpaying American, Whipsaw Willard is there to surprise you.
Latest example being Ann Romney’s unusual therapy for Multiple Sclerosis: Dressage. What the hell is dressage, you ask? Well, as best as I can decipher, it is horse dancing, or horse ballet, involving a series of movements or tests, executed by a horse and rider for judging by a panel for points, with one point being “not executed” and ten points “excellent”. Sounds like one of those pursuits that are incredibly boring, yet outrageously expensive….the kind of hobby that only the uber rich can appreciate, let alone indulge in. Continue reading
Muppets For Marriage Equality, No More Chick-fil-A
As always, I share the interesting letters I find in my inbox. Please read the email I received from Daily Kos below, regarding the anti-gay sentiments of Chick-fil-a, and watch the treat at the bottom. I signed the petition, making it a total of 4327 signers, and maybe you should too! Continue reading
Fun With Willard
Ok, this post is just for fun, funny even in spite of the fact the list is 100% true. Is Willard really the best the GOP has to offer? I do hope the Republicans pull a rabbit out of their hat this convention, or Ron Paul makes a run as an Independent candidate. Please do not feel pity for Mitt, for the anxiety and tribulations caused by the media digging up all his crappy financial maneuverings.
At least he is not getting an involuntary haircut… you know, like the one he administered to a fellow student at Prep school….
Re: Monsanto’s latest attack
So, Robert Shepherd at Move On has a petition opposing the Monsanto Riders. These riders would require the Secretary of Agriculture to grant a temporary permit for the planting or cultivation of a genetically engineered crop. Who wants to eat Franken-Food? Not me, and I will say again, I buy organic foods as much as possible. Please don’t forget the Department of Agriculture’s part in letting the Pink Slime slide under the consumer’s radar for so many years. Continue reading
Vaccines on Chicken Farms Create Supervirus
I personally believe Concentrated Animal Feedlot Operations (CAFO) are immoral, stupidly greedy, and ultimately unhealthy for all involved. From the suffering of the sick animals in horrific conditions, the filth and toxic waste these feed lots generate, to the health problems caused by consuming the flesh of factory farmed creatures– where do we find an upside? Immediate profit for big Agro corporations, yes, but years of problems and fallout for the rest of us. And it gets worse! I believe more problems will arise on the microscopic front, namely antibiotic resistant super-bugs to terrorize us in the not so distant future. I buy organic and/or antibiotic free meat whenever possible, and I recommend you check out the latest nugget at Mother Jones: Vaccines on Chicken Farms Create Supervirus | Mother Jones.
Corporate CEO Shares the Wealth With Chinese Workers
Is this instance of wealth distribution socialism or just the right thing to do? Yang Yuanqing is chairman and chief executive officer of Lenovo, apparently has decided to share his $3 million bonus to 10,000 of his company’s less paid factory employees, in an uncommonly generous gesture. According to China.org, Yang decided to distribute the funds because he credits the “strength of the company’s business performance to workers on the production line.” Wow! Continue reading
On the Ground in Aurora, CO: Must See Video @ Reliable Sources
Like most Americans, I am saddened and horrified by the events playing out in Aurora, Colorado. The nation is shocked by the senseless violence of the massacre in a midnight showing of an anticipated movie, and we want answers. But, that does not mean we want irresponsible reporting, inaccurate and incorrect statements, and we definitely don’t need another killer to inspired by all the attention that James Holmes, the suspected shooter, is getting in the media literally twenty four hours a day. Continue reading
