Mysterious Update From MoveOn

These kinds of emails are very informative as we move closer to election day.  Amidst much speculation about the “undecided” voter, and the impact of early voting on the election, we have to admit, the debates are going to be tasty icing on the political cake.

The folks at MoveOn have been hard at work, but they need more help.  Learn more from the latest, rather mysterious update from our friends at MoveON.org.

Dear MoveOn member,

I think we may have just discovered the silver bullet that could help us win the whole election. Continue reading

Let My People Vote 2012 – Get Nana A Gun with Sarah Silverman

You know, there are many Republicans who are very, very concerned with voter fraud, especially now, in such an important election.

Good News!! The delightfully filthy Sarah Silverman has a solution for voter fraud, and voter suppression prevention for that matter!  Continue reading

Join Daily Kos and Workers’ Voice in petitioning the National Football League

As you know, I like to pass on worthwhile emails and requests to sign petitions on this site.  In light of the wave of national disgust with the NFL over calls “scab” referees made in some football games last weekend, I thought I’d share a very interesting entry from my Inbox with you!

Cecelia,

Please join with Daily Kos and our partners at Workers’ Voice in petitioning the National Football League to immediately end its lockout of professional, union referees.  Continue reading

Are you registered to vote?

From my Inbox, we are prompted to ask ourselves, am I registered to vote? Don’t leave it till the last moment if you are not 100% positive, and check out online options if you are too busy or if your schedule precludes going to a physical office to register.  MoveOn provides some helpful information, please share with anyone who needs a friendly reminder to register to vote.

Dear MoveOn member,

Are you registered to vote? Are you sure? Are all your friends and family registered voters?

I hope so, because Mitt Romney and the rest of the Republicans are doing everything they can to STOP people from voting. In some states they’re using discriminatory voter suppression laws, in some they’re flooding airwaves with deceptive negative ads—but the goal is the same. They know that a low turnout election is their surest path to victory. Continue reading

Awesome great-grandma gives Romney a piece of her mind

Please read the email, and watch the video that highlights some of the reactions Mitt Romney is getting in reaction to the leaked video from a  Florida fundraiser earlier this year:

Dear MoveOn member,

We asked MoveOn members to respond to Mitt Romney’s insulting comments about 47% of Americans—and we got some videos that blew us away. An awesome great-grandma named DeEtte sent us one that would knock Romney’s socks off.

But don’t take it from us—watch it and rate it, along with other compelling videos from MoveOn members. Continue reading

Pat Robertson, Fan Of Saudi Home Correction Methods

Wonder what the campaign of presidential hopeful Mitt Romney, will have to say about the casual way Pat Robertson of the 700 Club advises a fellow with a “rebellious” wife to move to Saudi Arabia, so he can “stand” up to her.  Nah, that doesn’t sound misogynist, racist, or Anti-Islamic at all…..

I’m sure Whipsaw Willard found the minister’s attempt at humor hilarious, but wife beating went out of vogue decades ago.  I’m no political strategist, but, I am pretty sure that is not the way to show women you “love” them, care about what matters to them, and ultimately get their votes come November. Michele Bachmann Is Vulnerable

From my Inbox to you:
We can influence the elections of those whose influence has affected our nation’s well-being in such a reprehensible manner.  $3 is a hell of a bargain, if we can up the chances of reducing the ranks of the Tea Party.

LeftAction
Tired of Tea Party extremism? Sick of teanderthals like Michele Bachmann, Joe Walsh, and Allen West and their outrageous statements and even more outrageous policies? Here’s your chance to do something.  Continue reading

Ann Romney To The Rescue

The ‘miracle worker’, Ann Romney, gave the speech of her life at the RNC last month, hoping to win over Republican voters of the female persuasion to Mitt Romney’s cause.  She highlighted their courtship and early years in an attempt to humanize him to the public.  Ann Romney’s fans loved it, her detractors found it forced and not authentic.
