The ‘miracle worker’, Ann Romney, gave the speech of her life at the RNC last month, hoping to win over Republican voters of the female persuasion to Mitt Romney’s cause. She highlighted their courtship and early years in an attempt to humanize him to the public. Ann Romney’s fans loved it, her detractors found it forced and not authentic.
She clearly loves her man, but Mrs. Romney has had her work cut out for her recently, in her efforts to make America like and accept Mitt Romney.
Brushing off the desire of the American people to know the policies, tax records, and past performance in areas that the candidate is pointing to as his main sources of presidential type experience that make him ideal for the job is ridiculously high handed. And when that does not work, she just impatiently tells her husband’s fellow Republican party members to “just stop it, this is hard”. Yes, running for president is hard, especially when there are so many flaws in his character, performance and past to “pick on”.
Apparently, the Romneys are fine with throwing criticism at an actual working president, like President Barack Obama, or make scathing remarks about President Jimmy Carter, but when Mitt Romney is criticized for his performance, that is an “attack”? And cutting a kids hair at prep school is just horsing around, right? Color me baffled! I am not sure it helps a presidential hopeful’s chances when his spouse describes him as her most unruly child….
