Dana Siegelman: I Met Karl Rove at the DNC

If you want to know how low the current GOP and devilish Republican strategist Karl Rove can go, let’s explore how they railroaded and ruined one man’s life in particular:  Dan Siegelman is serving 6 more years after being tried and convicted in 2006 on charges of bribery.  Evidence indicates Karl Rove was heavily involved in the prosecution, and persecution of Dan Siegelman, former Governor of Alabama.  The “bribe” was by a local hospital executive, who donated $500,000 to a fund favored by Siegelman, and meant to support a state lottery that would send underprivileged children to college.  In return, prosecutors charged, Siegelman appointed the donor to a state hospital board, one he had already been serving on under three previous Governors (two Republicans and a Democrat). No other governor has been convicted for the same behavior.  Learn more:  The BRAD BLOG : Dana Siegelman: I Met Karl Rove at the DNC.
