I think many people would agree the saddest thing about the current social climate and economy, is the complete lack of respect for logic, science and reason.  America used to be a land of visionaries, capable of great accomplishments.  Can’t we be the country that sent men to the moon again?  Can we be the scientific frontrunner that the whole world admires and strives to emulate, once more?  We are America, and we lead, as the Tea Party likes to remind us, so where is the monetary support to be the best at science and technology?
