As you may have guessed, I have a fascination with people who follow their passions, no matter how out of the ordinary they might be. Someone who feels interested and engaged in what ever it is that lights up all their fulfillment buttons, is just more enjoyable to spend time with! Somehow that positive person serves to enrich you, just by having contact and conversation with them. I feel fortunate indeed to count George Kourounis as a friend, and when you check out his personal site by clicking on the picture below, you will see just how remarkable he is.
Update: George looking suave in a tuxedo in preparation for an annual dinner for the Explorer’s Club…
George, born to be on television, is the former host of the Angry Planet, an absolutely amazing TV series, filmed in over 30 countries, and on all 7 continents. Yes, I said all SEVEN continents! The show has been broadcast in over 100 countries on OLN, The Travel Channel, Halogen TV and The Weather Network and allows the viewer to experience with George just about every natural force on Planet Earth, including hurricanes, tornadoes and volcanoes. Volcanic Wedding is one of my favorite episodes. George continues his globetrotting ways, just completing a cross continental Arctic jaunt across Canada last winter, and frequently speaking at events all over the world. At the time of this writing, George is out on the American Plains, chasing and documenting the tornadoes. Please visit George’s site, at which you can catch up on his latest adventures @ http://www.stormchaser.ca/Stormchaser.html.
Georges latest hurricane adventure was here in NYC for Sandy October 2012. Watch:
Here’s George looking quite suave in his tuxedo, right before hopping in a cab to attend the Explorer’s Club dinner in March 2013:
