Wonder what the campaign of presidential hopeful Mitt Romney, will have to say about the casual way Pat Robertson of the 700 Club advises a fellow with a “rebellious” wife to move to Saudi Arabia, so he can “stand” up to her.  Nah, that doesn’t sound misogynist, racist, or Anti-Islamic at all…..

I’m sure Whipsaw Willard found the minister’s attempt at humor hilarious, but wife beating went out of vogue decades ago.  I’m no political strategist, but, I am pretty sure that is not the way to show women you “love” them, care about what matters to them, and ultimately get their votes come November.

Such a joke is just disconcerting, coming from someone seen as a religious leader, one who is solidly behind a presidential candidate….No greater example of someone who is out of touch with the modern world, is there?
