Who would have thought a mega rich porn star and a Jewish billionaire casino magnate would both endorse Mitt Romney?   Sheldon Adelson  is chairman and chief executive officer of the Las Vegas Sands Corporation, the parent company of Venetian Macao Limited which operates The Venetian Resort Hotel Casino and the Sands Expo and Convention Center.  Needless to say, he is super, mega, filthy rich.   Super hawkish on Israel, he also owns the Israeli daily newspaper Israel HaYom.  Listed in the Forbes 400 as the eighth wealthiest American, Sheldon Adelson is supposedly worth $24.9 billion as of spring 2012.  Adelson told Forbes Magazine in February 2012, that he’s “against very wealthy ­people attempting to or influencing elections. But as long as it’s doable I’m going to do it.”  He also stated,  ” I have my own philosophy and I’m not ashamed of it. I gave the money because there is no other legal way to do it. I don’t want to go through ten different corporations to hide my name. I’m proud of what I do and I’m not looking to escape recognition.”  Sheldon Adelson was Newt Gingrich’s sugar daddy during the GOP primary race, but after Gingrich’s campaign suspension, has since transferred his support to Mitt Romney.  But, this ain’t his first time at the rodeo, he’s endorsed numerous candidates at varying levels of government, trying to shape laws and policy more into his liking.

Now we learn that former porn actress, and successful businesswoman, Jenna Jameson has announced her support for Mitt Romney in this year’s presidential race.  She cited the Republican candidate’s stance for low taxes on the rich.  “I’m very looking forward to a Republican being back in office,” she said Thursday. “When you’re rich, you want a Republican in office.” With an estimated net worth of $30 million and a resume that includes 160 films, Jameson ranks as one of the porn industry’s wealthiest players.   Jameson’s endorsement may seem crazy.  Her decision to back Romney doesn’t jibe with her prior campaigns for the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals — perhaps she missed the whole Seamus Romney roof riding fiasco, and in the 2008 campaign, Jameson supported Hilary Clinton during her run for the Democratic nomination.  Wonder if she put money where her mouth is…..as Romney’s statements in regard to porn may indeed mess with La Jameson’s beloved money making empire.  In 2008 he said, “I wanna make sure that every new computer sold in this country after I’m president has installed on it a filter to block all pornography and that parents can click that filter to make sure their kids don’t see that kinda stuff coming in on their computer.”  And last month, a former anti-porn prosecutor in the Reagan administration indicated that Romney’s campaign had promised to “vigorously” crack down on pornographers once in the White House.  Perhaps his frequent changing of ‘positions’ is what attracts the former porno queen.  Yeah, right!  Americans would sooner give up their guns, than their porno films.

Is it really bizarre that a billionaire who makes his money from vice, and a millionairess who made her money from sins of the flesh support the squeaky clean Mormon candidate?  Maybe it is just me….
