All I can say is; Aw Shucks, Glad I could help.
Kids, this news really tickles your Cecelia! Check out the Email I got from United Republic, thanking me just in the aftermath of one of their Campaign Finance Reform efforts, and duly notifying me of a future effort.
Hope restored, feeling like things may finally change to benefit us all.
Happy days, indeed.
Nice work Cecelia!
When you rile up one of the top lobbyists in America, you know you’re onto something big.
The head of The American League of Lobbyists just attacked our campaign. His reason? (I’m not making this up.) “The easiest way to get the time and attention of a member of Congress and/or his legislative staff is at a campaign fundraiser.”
Let me see if I can translate that: “The American Anti-Corruption Act makes it nearly impossible for us to bribe politicians, so we don’t like it.”
Lobbyists are on the defensive already, and that’s just where we want them. On Inauguration Day, January 20th, we kick off the Represent.Us ground game, mobilizing Citizen Co-sponsors of The Act across the country.
Your support will pay for print and online organizing materials, and enable us to hire all-star organizers from the 2012 political campaigns to build the movement to pass the Act and get money out for good.
After launching just 3 weeks ago, we’ve already got 300,000 Citizen Co-sponsors and the attention of America’s top lobbying association. We are going to end 2012 strong and hit the ground running in 2013. Our numbers cannot be denied and we will not be ignored.
Please help us prepare by contributing $5, $15, $35 or more today.
Thank you so much.
Represent.Us is the campaign to pass The American Anti-Corruption Act. United Republic is a bold, new challenge to the undue influence of well-financed special interests over American politics and government.
