We don’t often talk about the Republican candidate for president’s Mexican roots, do we?  Mitt Romney, potentially the next president of the United States, has family roots in Mexico.  Well, here is a piece on the place where his father, George Romney was born.  The reporter who wrote the article linked below, actually visited the Mormon colonies where the Romney family fled from so long ago, a rural frontier where thousands of Mormons still live, and balance loyalty between America and Mexico.  Read more: The Romneys’ Mexican History | Travel | Smithsonian Magazine.
