As I have said before, I am one of the millions of Americans left with no choice but to work a low paying job, with zero benefits and no sick time, paid or otherwise.  I received a request to sign a petition to fight for paid sick days for workers in New York City, and guess what I did immediately?  I signed a petition to Christine Quinn, Speaker, New York City Council which says:

“Speaker Christine Quinn: Allow a vote on the paid sick days bill in the New York City Council.”
