Working Families Party is a neat little Progressive page for those of us in New York, and other states, that think it really sucks that people work hard for forty hours a week, and yet have no health insurance, sick pay or vacation time. We have a tempest brewing in a teapot here in NYC, and it is not so sweet since Mayor Bloomberg announced the City Hall plan to bar restaurants, theaters and delis from selling sweetened beverages bigger than 16 ounces. After a PR nightmare of defending Mayor David Bloomberg’s proposed size reduction of soft drinks sold in New York City, on Donut Day, of all days, reaction varies wildly from person to person, from support to extreme irritation.
