Sore Losers List

The sore Losers of Election 2012 are not taking it easy.  Particularly the Republican ones.  And some just never got the lessons in grade school about being poor winners and losers, that the rest of us enjoyed.  Maybe they don’t teach sportsmanship to the folks who get to Capitol Hill either?

  • Congressman Allen West, the south Florida Republican who has made headlines nationally for his fiery Tea Party rhetoric, filed motions asking a judge to require elections officials to impound ballots and voting machines.   100% of precincts reported Democratic candidate Patrick Murphy as the victor.  But West still refuses to concede.  Continue reading

Youth Vote Decisive in Election 2012

President Obama has another shot at leading us, Whipsaw Willard will hopefully retire from public life, Donald Trump will get his meds stabilized, and we will all get solar panels and hybrid cars!!!  Whoa.  Sorry, got carried away for a moment.

Even though the election excitement is almost over, we can still enjoy the afterglow, and emails I receive from one of my more progressive correspondents.  Sharing this message from Matt Segal at OurTime seemed very appropriate right now, however, I don’t know if I qualify as a young voter anymore at almost forty years of age.  But hey, let’s just go with it shall we?

Romney’s Plans for FEMA?

What did Mitt Romney really mean by his comments about helping during times of disaster during the Republican Primary? Future plans to foist the response to natural disasters to state governments, charity and the private sector, or just more red meat for the deficit fetishists in the Tea Party, just to get the GOP nomination? Sketchy on Student Debt

Here’s a message from StudentDebtCrisis.org, with a new video on the many positions of Whipsaw Willard on Student Debt and for profit schools. Please enjoy.

Dear Cecelia:

With only two weeks left until Election Day, it is extremely important that voters be made aware of what a Romney/Ryan Administration would mean for higher education. That is why we put together a new video, detailing Romney’s “sketchy” attitudes on the topic.

For those voters who care about making higher education more accessible and affordable, Governor Romney’s rhetoric on the campaign trail with respect to higher education has been shockingly tone-deaf and utterly detached from reality. Continue reading

Presidential Debate: Can You Count The Lies, Big Bird?

Whether you think Romney won last night’s first Presidential debate of Election 2012 on style, or if you are left wondering at the calm demeanor displayed by President Obama, you must admit there were a preponderance of falsehoods uttered on that stage.  Whipsaw Willard was living large last night in Denver, just banging out the best performance of his life, even pushing the moderator around, evoking shades of Newt Gingrich in the primaries.  False statements notwithstanding, Mitt Romney is considered by the media as benefiting from his aggressive behavior at the debate.  This makes me wonder:  Is this truly an election where facts don’t matter? Mitt: Social Moron Abroad

Insulting whole nations is not an appropriate activity for someone who wants to be President of the United States.  Staging cheesy speeches to garner Jewish and Catholic votes at the expense of this country’s reputation is crazy…. Okay, not that crazy, given the state of  the modern Republican party’s unprecedented love of greedy, self interested attitudes, dog whistle sound bytes, and blind devotion to staying on message, even when the message is stupid. Politics Make Strange Bedfellows

Who would have thought a mega rich porn star and a Jewish billionaire casino magnate would both endorse Mitt Romney?   Sheldon Adelson  is chairman and chief executive officer of the Las Vegas Sands Corporation, the parent company of Venetian Macao Limited which operates The Venetian Resort Hotel Casino and the Sands Expo and Convention Center.  Needless to say, he is super, mega, filthy rich.
